Description
This guide explains how to update the firmware of a X102 player.
Requirements
- Workstation (PC or Laptop)
- Arm logic V3 burning tool
- USB to USB cable which supports data transfer
Updating the firmware
- Download the ArmLogic tools, firmware and licence from the following URL:
Arm logic tools.
- Install the Arm Logic tools found in the downloaded folder (V3_setup_V3.2.0.exe).
- Copy the folder ‘Licence’ from the downloaded folder and past it inside the installation folder of the Arm Logic tools. By default: C:\Amlogic\Aml_Burn_Tool\V3
- Open the Arm Logic tool (Aml_Burn_Tool.exe). In case the language is not set to English yet, select the third tab in the top and select the second option. (Restart the application after this change).
- Upload the firmware by selecting the tab ‘Settings’ in the top of the window, click on ‘Load Img’ and select the firmware from the downloaded folder in step 1.
- Locate the ‘AV-OUT’ input on the player (there should be a small button inside the input).
- Press and hold the button inside this input while connecting the UBS cable to the device (Use ‘USB-2’ port) until the Arm Logic tools shows a connected device.
- Select the ‘Start’ button to update the firmware.
- Wait until the firmware is updated and press ‘Stop’ before disconnecting the device.
After pressing ‘Stop’, disconnect the device.
You have now successfully updated the firmware of the X102 player.
