This guide explains how to enable ADB/USB debugging, this is needed to connect to a device remotely using ADB.

In this manual a Sony Bravia will be used as example, location of settings may differ on other devices.

Requirements

• Access to the device
• Remote to control the device

How to enable ADB/USB debugging

1. Using a remote navigate to the settings of the device.
   
    
2. Under “System” there is an option called “About”, this displays the information of the device.
   
    
3. In here is the build number of the device located, click this 7 times to enable “developer options”.
   
    
4. Now return and locate the “developer options”.

   For ProDVX devices, if “ADB debugging over TCP” is available, enable it.
    
5. In here is an option called “ADB debugging” or “USB debugging”, select enable.
   
    
6. Debugging is now enabled on the device. When connecting to a device using ADB a pop-up will appear asking to approve the connection, this needs to be accepted to allow the connection.
