This guide explains how to change the application pool user.

How to change the application pool user

1. On your desktop click on the ‘Start’ Menu and open ‘Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager.  
   
    
2. No left click on ‘Application Pools’.
   
    
3. A list opens on the right side where you can see all the application pools. Right click on the application pool ‘Backbone’ and select ‘Advanced Settings…’
   
    
4. Under ‘Process Model’ you can see the ‘Identity’ when you select it you see ‘…’ at the end of the user. Left click on it and it will open a new window. 
   
    
5. In the window that opens you see ‘Custom account’ the current application pool user will be displayed here. Press ‘Set…’
   
    
6. A window will open where you can fill in the credentials of the user you want to change the application pool to.
   
    
7. When this is done go back to the application pools and do the same for every application pool marked in the screenshot below.
